4.1. Work Visas and Entry Permits

Under the newly enacted Visa Policy 2026 (approved by the cabinet on August 10, 2026), the visa classification framework has been expanded to 34 distinct categories. To facilitate international business operations, the policy introduces five-year multiple-entry business visas for foreign directors, investors, and technical consultants. Furthermore, visa applications, security clearances, and work permit recommendations are now processed through a unified digital e-Visa platform managed jointly by the Home Ministry, IBA, and the Department of Immigration and Passports.
